Hi Garth,
Just to let you know that we received our deposit back from the real
estate agent's office last week. Thank you for the service you provided
throughout the whole process (especially in helping to get the deposit
back a sap) - it was great, and really appreciated. We thank you again
and wish your business well.
Kind regards,
Lydia and Stephen - Artarmon

"SHOULD
YOU AUCTION ON SITE OR THROUGH AUCTION ROOMS?"
Bringing bidders together at a neutral location, such as a hotel
room, has been popular in Queensland and New South Wales since the
1980s.
A question Vendors ask when they have decided to sell their property
at Auction is “Should I auction the Home onsite or at an Neutral
Venue?”
The Herald Sun June 7th 2009 says there are advantages and disadvantages.
Neutral
Venue advantages
• Keeps away noisy neighbors
• Flushes out genuine interest
• Allows multiple sales in in minimal time
• Quicker pace of bidding than street auctions
• Not affected by bad weather
Neutral
Venue disadvantages
• No foot traffic
• More pressure on buyers
• Sterile buying environment
• First home buyers may be intimidated
10
reasons why Neutral Venue may be for you
1. No curious neighbours.
2. No risk of inclement weather ruining the auction day.
3. No public embarrassment if no one turns up.
4. Fans of Neutral Venue property auctions claim the method creates
a more captive buying audience.
5. More appealing to those who prefer the transparency of a public
auction over a private sale, but without the public spectacle of a
street auction.
6. Statistics show that more than half the auction property sales
are achieved at in-room auctions.
7. There is also the advantage of maybe getting the under bidder their
second choice. With a street auction, you lose those people. They
walk away.
8. Some Investors come along to an in-room event and bid on every
property. These are often time-poor people who like the convenience.
9. Many buyers and sellers are keen to avoid public embarrassment.
10. Bidders can put their hands up without being as self-conscious
and the sellers can avoid watching their homes pass in, in front of
all their neighbours.
